ひときわ高いミナレット Highest Minaret on the hill

イブラヒムモスクMosque of Ibrahimのミナレット(minaret)が突出して見える。
貧血が悪化した時期だったので、ここから見上げて、頂上まで上るか、やめるか思案したことが思い出される。結局、階段の途中で何度も休みながら、頂上まで登った。

前王朝により1143年に建てられた泥の砦は、その後城へと強化、拡充された。
城は、高さは122mの孤立した花崗岩の丘の上に、今も壮麗にそびえ建っている。
ゴールコンダ城は、巨大な花崗岩の3重壁で取り囲まれている。最外壁は小砦を一つ持ち、小丘上を取り囲む設計である。2番目の壁は丘の麓に沿って、3番目は巨石群を取りこんで、丘の斜面に建設されている。
Two highest minarets of Ibrahim's Masjid are seen just below the summit of the Fort.
Golconda Fort ,originally built as a small fort,was expanded and strengthened by the Qutb
Shahis.
The remains of the ancient water system by which water was moved through laminated clay
pipes from ground level to hanging gardens above are still evident.
The acoustics of the fort are such that from the Durbar Hall at the very top of the fort you can hear hands being slapped some 380 steps below in the Grand Portico of the Bala Hissar near
the entrance gate.
